KYTV: Projects.

Since it formation in early 2002, KYTV had been actively involved in the local arts scene, and as the associate artist of The Substation 2002/03, they presented two multi-media performances, ‘Dark Room Devil and The Spoon Circus’ (Substation’s Sept Fest 2002), ‘Deadline’ (Substation’s Theater Fest 2002).Apart from performances, their short-film was featured in a video exhibition, ‘The Last Laugh’ 2004 (Earl Lu Gallery). In the ‘LASALLE School’ exhibition, KYTV documented past performances were exhibition among many influential artists in Singapore for the last decade.

Since then, KYTV had devoted their time to process-based multimedia performance ‘Design for Death’, which made it international premiered at the 7th Seoul Fringe Festival in September 2004 and subsequently at Esplanade Theatre Studio (Singapore), in November 2004.

At the end of 2004, they created an interactive art project “The P.O.P station”“The P.O.P station” was first presented as part of the Insomnia Season curated by TheatreWorks Artistic Director; Ong Keng Sen at the Art House in Singapore and subsequently at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) London. They will also present the work in 2005 at the Cemeti Art house in Yogyakarta and The House of World Culture in Berlin.

In 2005, they had been awarded the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) Arts Awards. “ Not available on print date” was also created as the closing event for 3rd Fukuoka Asian Arts Triennial 2005.
